Directions from M50/N11

Take the Wexford Road (N11) out of Dublin as far as J6 signposted Bray / Enniskerry and follow the signs for Enniskerry, crossing back over the N11 before turning left and taking the 2km twisty road into Enniskerry. Keeping the monument on your left hand side head out of the village, up Killgaron Hill and keep going to Glencree (10km). Keep on this road, leaving the German Cemetery on your right and the Reconciliation Centre on your left, until you join the Military Road coming from Dublin on the right.

Proceed for about 200m and at the fork in the road turn left as if heading for the Powerscourt Waterfall, (right will bring you to the Sally Gap). The first exit off this road – about 500m from the turn – is the entrance to both The Grove and Aurora House. Follow the tarred lane through the five barred gate, the first premises – an old cottage with adjacent sleeping accommodation, is The Grove, continue down the lane to the two storey Aurora House.

Directions from Rathfarnham

Starting at the Yellow House take the Willbrook and Ballyboden Roads (2km), go through the roundabout at Taylor’s Lane and follow the signs for Glencree. Turn right onto Scholarstown Road, and after a short distance, take a left up stocking Lane. Having passed the entrance to the Hell Fire Club, this in due course will bring you to Kilakee Car Park (3.5km). Keep right and continue Southeast on the R115 or Military Road over the ‘Featherbeds’ for approx 6km and you will arrive at the top of Glencree Valley.
